Hello.

It has been a while. My apologies for my absence. I got stuck in traffic....I..uh...swear I called...I....

Excuses aside, I have been travelling the globe and enjoying myself (thank you New York!) and putting myself into the second record. I've been to some crazy towns such as Darwin, Stockholm, Helsinki, New York, LA and of course Berlin and after all that, we have finally decided upon the final twenty songs to be recorded and the first single (which is almost finished/mixed and sounding....lushbutwild/hugebutintimate/differentbutsamesame..will be out in mid February. Sorry about the delay but Christmas gets in the way of putting out records. Blame it on Santa.

In the meantime, I recommend having a listen to the latest "Like a Version" compilation. Staying true to its goal of being more than just a typical covers album (which often are tragic affairs - ie Scarlett Johansson's Tom Waits covers album...oh dear...Brian Ferry's Bob Dylan covers album...really?!), the newest release features tracks such as our cover of The Preset's 'This Boy's in Love', our friends the Philly Jays taking on Jay Z's '99 Problems' & Whitley doing an intimate version of one of my favourite pop hits "dancing queen". Shh.

Hello!

By some wonderful twist of fate, a song of ours is primed for for the "international song of the year". Generally we aren't ones to get excited about music competitions, however since the voting panel included Tom Waits, Chaka Khan and Weird "al" Yankovic (what an interesting collaboration that would be...), we think that this nomination is a good thing.

This competition that we speak of, The International Songwriting Competition (ISC) has announced its finalists, and "Jealousy" has been selected in the pop category. There were apparently only 287 finalists chosen out of over 15,500 entrants, so we are very bemused and gracious to be nominated!

As well as this, there is a People's Voice competition - an online voting contest that allows the public to listen to all the finalists' songs and vote for their favorite one – i.e. Jealousy

Hello Everyone!

4 MASSIVE NEWS!

News 1
It has been a while since we have blogged but we haven't been sitting on an exotic island eating coconuts and snorkling either. Well, i actually dreamt the island dream last night...anyway i digress. We now have a TWITTER account so for those on twitter you may have enjoyed our random posts that fit into the micro blog format. For those unaware about twitter - get involved with everyone you know's every movement. It's quite odd but fun!

News 2
The second bit of news is that Tiff is pregnant and is expecting in May. In the last year she met the man of her dreams and we are all extremely excited for her! (my prediction is that it will be a boy...) however due to this, she won't be joining us on the next tour - as you can understand that the life of touring does not gel with growing a baby. She sends her massive love!

News 3
So, our great friend, Sam, will be filling in on guitars, vocals and overall sexiness. HE is well known for his charm and rugged handsomeness yet boyish good looks.

We will be playing at least four(4) new songs that we are love with. We may chuck in a cover -but that's all i will say at this stage.
